  • Thank you for your interest in being part of the Fall 2025 Healthy Meals Summit!

    This Summit aims to recognize and celebrate Healthy Meals Incentives Recognition Awardees, School Food System Transformation Challenge grantees and partners, and those who support school nutrition programs as they aim to improve the nutritional quality of school meals. The Fall 2025 Healthy Meals Summit isn’t merely a meeting, but a catalyst for improving the health of our Nation’s children through better nutrition. It supports the goals of “Make America Healthy Again” by encouraging school nutrition professionals to embrace healthy school meals and incorporate real food grown by American farmers, ranchers, and producers in the school food supply.

    The Fall 2025 Healthy Meals Summit will take place at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, NV, on October 22nd and 23rd, 2025. 

     We welcome School Food Authorities, School Food System Transformation Challenge grantees and partners, and non-profit organizations to submit a proposal for an engaging session that highlights best practices, engagement strategies, innovative school initiatives, procurement strategies, and more. Presentations must be in alignment with one of more of the following topics School Nutrition Professional Standards key areas:

    Nutrition - 1000

    • Reduce added sugars in School Breakfast Program meals
    • Reduce sodium in National School Lunch Program meals
    • Increase whole grain-rich menu items
    • Feature local agricultural products
    • Integrate nutrition education with the school nutrition program

    Operations – 2000

    • Incorporate scratch-prepared menu items into cycle menus
    • Procure equipment to support kitchen updates and redesign

    Administration – 3000

    • Implement innovative staff training programs
    • Evaluate equipment and facilities to ensure efficiency
    • Manage grants to support program operations

    Communications & Marketing - 4000

    • Engage students in taste testing and school meal promotion activities
    • Work collaboratively with students and the community to provide nutritious school meal menu options and engage students in the planning and/or promotion of school meals.

    Sessions will be one-hour in length, including time for questions and answers. Rooms will primarily be set up theater-style, although some will allow for round-table seating on a limited basis.

    Proposals will be accepted through July 15th, 2025. You will be notified if your session is selected by August 1st, 2025.  You will be responsible for providing your own materials and/or handouts.  We will provide details on projected number of attendees and shipping options at a later date.

    Session proposals will be evaluated based on the alignment of the session description with the School Nutrition Professional Standards, the continuity of session learning objectives with the session description, and attendee engagement strategies.
